TREE TOP HOSPITAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME AWARDS 2024

Tree Top Hospital (TTH) awarded scholarships to 4 students under the nursing scholarship programme during a special ceremony held on December 8, 2024, at the Tree Top hospital.


These scholarships aim to support the development of skilled healthcare professionals in the Maldives. Students were awarded a scholarship to study Diploma in Nursing programme at Villa College.

This initiative continues to provide exceptional opportunities for students aspiring to pursue nursing education at Villa College.


Since its inception in September 2021, the programme has been instrumental in fostering the growth of nursing professionals in the Maldives. With these new scholarships, Tree Top Hospital reaffirms its commitment to nurturing future healthcare providers.


To date, 19 students have been awarded scholarships under the TTH scholarship programme. Out of these, seven have completed their studies, with one graduating with a nursing degree, six with a diploma. Currently, ten students are pursuing the Diploma in Nursing programme and two students are pursuing Bachelors of Nursing under this scholarship.


The Diploma in Nursing is a Villa College programme with a duration of 3 years, while the BSc (Hons) Nursing (International) programme is a 2-year programme from the University of the West of England in the UK. To date, 1139 students have graduated from nursing programmes at Villa College, with 616 students currently enrolled across various levels.


Under the TTH scholarship placements awarded on 18 October, 1 student was given the opportunity to study on our BSc (Hons) Nursing (International) programme and 2 students were selected to study for the Diploma in Nursing programme.
