Villa College's Psychology Association hosted its first Debate Talk Series of 2023 on 6th March 2023. The event was presided over by Dr. Maumoon Shareef, Consultant in Psychiatry at Hulhumale Hospital, and Dr. Ahmed Didi, Assistant Professor of CPS. The Debate Talk Series was organized by the Psychology Association of Villa College and initiated by the BPs batch of Jan2022. The topic for the first talk series was work-life balance and its significance from an individual and employer perspective. The students shared valuable information on updating oneself on company policies and procedures, regulating one's own work timings, dealing with procrastination, among many other insightful tips.

This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop critical thinking skills while also giving them a platform to practise their organisation, oral, and presentation skills. The event was attended by students, faculty members, and VIHS students. All attendees had the chance to participate in the raffle draw, which was given away at the end of the event. The Psychology Association of Villa College plans to organise one Debate Talk Series event every semester.
