The Villa College Chinese Language Centre team recently took part in the Huravee Fun Day, a cultural experience event hosted by Huravee School in Hulhumale' on March 4th, 2023. The event, held at Ruhgandu 2, was attended by hundreds of local residents, primarily families with children, and featured a variety of activities such as traditional music and dance performances and outdoor games. The Chinese Language Centre team from Villa College set up a stall that showcased various items with Chinese cultural elements, including panda dolls, paper lanterns, and rabbit ornaments. They also featured two games with Chinese characteristics - "Paper Cutting" and "Chopsticks with Candy." The stall quickly became one of the most popular attractions at the event, attracting many visitors. The CLC staff expressed their excitement for the opportunity to share the joy of Chinese culture with everyone at the event. Their participation in the Huravee Fun Day highlights the commitment of the Villa College Chinese Language Centre to promoting cultural exchange and language learning in the Maldives. It also reflects the College's dedication to engaging with the community and providing opportunities for its students to apply their skills and knowledge in real-world settings.
