1 min read

Villa College (VC), The Maldives National University (MNU), and Islamic University of Maldives (IUM), the Maldives Partners of DIGITAsia, officially launched the project on 25 February. This groundbreaking initiative aims to transform digital education in higher learning institutions.

Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, DigitAsia brings together nine universities from Croatia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Spain, and Malaysia to drive the adoption of Education 5.0—a model that integrates hybrid learning, learning analytics, and student-centered strategies.

By equipping educators with essential digital skills, the project aims to develop inclusive, effective, and accessible courses that meet students' evolving needs in a rapidly changing educational landscape. The initiative underscores the commitment of Maldivian higher education institutions to enhancing digital learning and fostering innovation in teaching.
