Welcome to the Faculty of Educational Studies (FES) at Villa College, Maldives. Thank you for visiting our page and showing your interest in our faculty. The amazing FES community, consisting of our lecturers, administrative staff, and students, is eager to help you acquire the knowledge and experiences needed to pursue your career aspirations. At FES, we have a wide range of opportunities in the field of education and psychology for you to advance your career and improve the lives of those around you, no matter where you want to work.
Joining FES is the best decision you will ever make because a positive student experience is at the heart of our faculty’s mission. We give great importance to accommodating the needs of our students and building a good rapport between our students and faculty members. You will find our lecturers and staff friendly and approachable. In addition to student-staff rapport, we give great importance to the quality of your learning. Therefore, as additional support, we conduct sessions on referencing, academic writing, and English language skills. We also conduct virtual writing retreats to encourage students to submit their assignments on time and teaching clinics to prepare students for their teaching practicum. We also have a multipurpose psychology lab where classes, research activities and experiments are conducted for students to gain an understanding of human behaviour and mental processes through experiential learning.
